I can't belive thats its already week 3 of my 6 weeks of jewellery making!
I have loved having 4 amazing ladies in my studio to teach them to make their own beautiful jewellery. Take a look to see what they have made and learnt along the way...
Week 1: Silver Ring Making
Silver rings are a great place to start from, due to having all the basic techniques. Using a range of tools such as: filing, measuring, sawing, stamping, sanding and polishing. Its a great way to jump in and learn the basic skills, and finish with a beautiful ring at the end!

Week 2: Necklace making
Its surprising what you can do with a piece of silver which is 25mm x 25mm. Each student received this size in 0.7mm silver sheet, and each one made a beautiful unique pendant. Each person got to design and create their own design, guided by myself though each stage. I can see already that everyone is feeling more confident with the tools, and is getting more inspired with what they can do.

Week 3: Earring Making
Everyone loves earrings, but they are hard to make. Mainly becuse your trying to get two shapes the exact same. Although this is the hard part, each of the students have done an amazing job to make their earrings match. Everyone seems very confident using the tools, and creating their own designs.

Next week is to finish off anything from the pevious 3 weeks and starting to design and make their own peices of of jewellery! I heard a few ideas floating around about making some sea glass jewellery!
I can't wait to show you what they make!
