I'm sure you have heard about the beautiful area called the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. It's been my home all my life and I am so pleased that I have now been able to set up my business, Wye-Creative, in this stunning area!
I thought I would give you some background info about this area and things to do and see here.
The Forest of Dean is known for being the personal hunting ground to Tudor Kings and the Normans, this is due to its variety of wild animals such as deer and bore. It was also a great source of timber for shipbuilding as well as a rich source of iron ore and cole.
The Sculpture Trail
This is a beautiful local walk full of sculptures in the depths of the forest. Some of these sculptures are here permanently, one of the most famous ones is the stained glass window. I would suggest this is a must-see! There is also a great place to take a packed lunch or grab a coffee at Beechenhurst.

The River Wye
If you're into something more sporty we have great cycle trails as well as the most beautiful River Wye that you can canoe or paddleboard down. You can start from a range of different towns, but I highly recommend going from Ross on Wye down to the Saracens Head (this is where the stunning Swedish red house from Sex-Educations is based) There is also a great pub on the side of the river to have a drink and something to eat.

From the river, you can see many animals and plants native to the area including the perigean falcons that nest in the lookout point at Symonds Yat viewpoint.

These are only a few of the beautiful places to visit in this stunning area, I really could go on! But these are 100% my most recommended places to go.
If I'm not doing a workshop you may find me at one of these places with Bramble.
